Commission leaders are appointed by the ICC Chairman for a three-year period, renewable at the Chairman's discretion.
Christian Kaeser was appointed Chair of the
Commission on Taxation on 27th March 2014. Mr. Kaeser is the
Vice-President and Global Head of Tax at Siemens AG, where he is responsible
for managing and coordinating Siemens’ national and international tax affairs.
In addition to his role at Siemens, Mr Kaeser serves as a Vice-Chair of the Tax
Committee of the Federation of German Industries. Furthermore, he is the President
of the German International Fiscal Association (IFA) Branch and the Chairman of
the supervisory board of WTS AG.
Mukesh Butani is a partner at BMR Legal and an acknowledged expert on international tax and transfer pricing. He has advised several fortune 500 multinationals and large Indian business houses on a range of cross border tax issues, transaction structuring, transfer pricing and dispute resolution matters. He is a former tax practice leader and international tax partner of "big four" accounting firms. Mr Mukesh is a board member of Taxand, an international network of leading tax firms.
Mr. Lowell is an experienced international tax lawyer who has specialized in transfer pricing and related qualified authority matters for a career spanning almost 40 years.
Paul Morton is Head of Group Tax at Reed Elsevier Group plc. He leads a team of tax professionals in London, Oxford, Amsterdam, Boston and Singapore which serves businesses operating in more than 90 countries. He is Chairman of the British Branch of the International Fiscal Association and a member of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD. He is actively engaged in OECD Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) consultations and frequently takes an active role in various tax-conferences, including recent G8 and G20 meetings.
