Cancun: The United Nations Climate Change Convention COP16/ CMP 6
The 16th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 16) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the sixth session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP 6), among other associated meetings, took place from 29 November – 10 December 2010 in Cancun, Mexico.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference held in Cancun, Mexico, from 29 November to 10 December 2010, encompassed the sixteenth Conference of the Parties and the sixth Conference of the Parties (COP16/CMP 6).
As a non-profit, international organization dedicated to promoting trade and globalization, the ICC had worked closely with its constituent members to develop refined statements for submission to the UNFCCC in order to best represent business interests around the world.

Cancun Global Business Day: Building Bridges

Venue: The Westin, Resort and Spa Hotel, Cancun Mexico
The Cancun Global Business day was the business event at the UN Climate Change Conferences. It was organized by the International Chamber of Commerce and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
Other activities: Participants were also invited to a Networking Reception, co-hosted by ProMexico on Sunday, 5 December at the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Hotel between 6 - 8 p.m.

The Government of Mexico, in collaboration with the WBCSD and ICC, has organized informal public-private sector dialogues to support the climate change negotiations at COP 16/ CMP 6 in Cancun, Mexico and beyond. The dialogues focused on topics that are relevant and critical to the current negotiations, namely: carbon markets, technology and financing.
