Durban: The United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP 17/CMP 7
The 17th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 17) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the seventh session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP 7), among other associated meetings, took place from 28 November – 9 December 2011 in Durban, South Africa.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference (28 November – 9 December 2011) in Durban, South Africa brought together representatives of the world's governments, international organizations and civil society. The discussions sought to advance the implementation of the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol, as well as the Bali Action Plan, agreed at COP 13 in 2007, and the Cancun Agreements, reached at COP 16 last December.
