Client Privilege in Intellectual Property Advice

Delegates to the Conference heard presentations on the subject of client privilege from all over the world. It was clear that client privilege required international attention. Sections II to VI of this paper set out the background as it emerged from the Conference; Section VII sets out the problems that were identified at the Conference; and Section VIII sets out ICC’s recommendation for dealing with the problems, i.e. that WIPO should commence work on an International Treaty.
