- It informs policy through discussion.
- It does not spend time on negotiating texts.
- It is a unique forum for multi-stakeholder exchange.
The IGF enables the development of Internet related policies by allowing participants to:
- share ideas and listen to others' perspectives on an equal footing
- exchange best practices
- build human and institutional capacity
