The G20 is the premier forum
for international economic cooperation. Its members account for 85% of the
world economy, 80% of global trade, and two-thirds of the world's population.
Since 2008, the G20 has played an instrumental role in shepherding the global
economic recovery. To date, however, the G20 process has progressed with
little input from companies which drive the world economy.
In response to this, ICC has hosted a series of G20
policy consultations since 2011 designed to gather policy priorities from
local members of ICC National Committees for input into the G20 process. The
success of this inclusive, grass-roots approach inspired efforts to reach
further and more deeply to tap the vast resources of ICC's global network with
the creation of the ICC Global Survey of
Business Policy Priorities for G20 Leaders. Survey
respondents have the opportunity to contribute business views on key policy
issues of importance to them.
internet-based survey has the potential to canvas millions of companies. It was
distributed to ICC's global business network of companies large and small,
Survey results help shape business input into the
G20 survey and ensure that the ICC G20 CEO Advisory Group of leading international
CEOs can more effectively advocate for the inclusion of business priorities
that matter most.
