The WCO Implementation Guidance is an effective and interactive tool which can assist business.
The guide introduces relevant WCO tools and members’ practices relating to 12 Articles of the Trade Facilitation Agreement, which will assist Customs administrations, businesses and other government agencies in implementation.
The guide provides the user with detailed explanation of each of the 12 Articles in the background of the WCO Revised Kyoto Convention (RKC). It is important to note that the Agreement is binding upon all WTO members while WCO members have the option of becoming a contracting party to the RKC. The guide is available offline and online and summarises relevant tools in the implementation of the Agreement such as SAFE Framework of Standards, Immediate Release Guidelines, Single Window Compendium etc.
The WCO has prepared information sheets to help Customs and business understand the WCO concept and terms of some of the key trade facilitation measures. They were prepared to assist trade negotiators better understand certain key topics. The WCO papers are on the following topics: Advance Rulings, Appeals in Customs matters, Single Window, Risk Management/Post Clearance Control and Simplified procedures/Authorized persons.
