Next stop Mexico: Congress opportunities unveiled

Bringing together the global community of over 12,000 chambers of commerce, the Congress provides an unrivalled networking opportunity and is the only international forum for chambers of commerce to share experiences, exchange insights and address the latest issues affecting their business communities.

The 7th World Chambers Congress will take place in Mexico City 8-10 June 2011 – the first time the Congress will be held in Latin America – and is organized by WCF and the Mexico City National Chamber of Commerce.

Attracting delegates from over 100 countries the Congress presents unique sponsorship opportunity for companies and chambers of commerce alike.

“The World Chambers Congress supports chambers in developing new activities and services, and is instrumental in facilitating economic development and trade within their regions,” said WCF Chair Rona Yircali. “Sponsoring the Congress not only affirms support for the chamber movement but also demonstrates the fundamental role chambers and the Congress play in developing new partnerships and business opportunities.”

Sponsorship options are available for a wide range of budgets and include the chance to sponsor the World Chambers Competition, a major highlight of the Congress. Other highlights include an extensive business programme for business delegations and a first-class exhibition area to showcase products and services.

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and ATA Carnet, are among those who have already signed on to sponsor the 7th World Chambers Congress.

Director General of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hamad Buamim said: “As a bridge to business and chamber leaders around the world, the World Chambers Congress provides unsurpassable opportunities giving our chamber the necessary impetus to continue what we do best: represent, support and protect the interests of our business community.”

To optimizethe exchange of ideas and experiences and bolster economic trade and development, sponsorship of delegates from developing countries is urged. At the 6th World Chambers Congress in Kuala Lumpur in 2009, such sponsorship from the Center for International Private Enterprise enabled the participation of delegates from countries including Afghanistan, Botswana, Indonesia, Kenya, Mongolia, Montenegro, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, the Philippines and Russia.

With an opening address by the President of Mexico Felipe Calderon and a host of eminent speakers including chamber of commerce, business and government leaders, the 7th World Chambers Congress promises to be a unique and dynamic learning experience not to be missed.
