Last chance to register for Masterclass for arbitrators
Gain an overview of the fundamentals and best practices related to serving as an arbitrator at the 2012 ICC Institute Masterclass for Arbitrators.
This fourth
annual event is designed to help experienced professionals hone their skills
and understand the challenges arbitrators face. Held at the International
Chamber of Commerce (ICC) headquarters in Paris, the intensive
two-and-a-half-day workshop covers critical theoretical concepts and practical
aspects involved in conducting an international arbitration. These include
establishing authority over parties, conducting hearings and drafting
enforceable awards. The chairman of the training, ICC International Court of
Arbitration member Fernando Mantilla-Serrano, said a highlight of the programme
would be the quality of the faculty and its structure.
“Counsel
will get the arbitrator’s perspective when they might just be used to getting
the perspective of the parties they represent,” he said.
The course
will include presentations and discussions based on mock cases, led by experts
and practitioners in the field, as well as representatives from the ICC
International Court of Arbitration.
Of
particular note, the new ICC 2012 Rules of Arbitration’s Emergency Arbitrator
provisions will be addressed by Jose Ricardo Feris, Deputy Secretary General of
the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
Register
now for the 2012 ICC Institute Masterclass for Arbitrators, as there are just a
