Featured case studies include projects from companies such as Alstom, Bank of America, Bosch Brazil, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Telekom, Dow, Evonik Industries, GDF, Japan Facility Solutions, Novozymes, Suez, Shell, Veolia and Vattenfall.
Part of ICC's business perspective on climate change negotiations, the publication entitled Business actions - Best practice examples also features projects undertaken in partnership between Credit Suisse and the World Wildlife Fund, and between Microsoft and Fiat.
Comprising case studies taken from an ICC discussion paper on energy efficiency and ICC's flagship publication Green Economy Roadmap - Best practices, the compilation highlights the essential role of business in driving global sustainability.
ICC is gearing up to share its expertise in climate change policy and practice at the upcoming UN climate talks (COP19) to take place in Warsaw from 11-22 November 2013.
On 15 November, as part of the Business and Industry Non-Governmental Organization (BINGO) day held during the talks, ICC will host an official side event under the theme "Unleashing the potential for technology cooperation: challenges for efficient implementation".
On 17 November, ICC will engage in the World Climate Summit, which will include an intervention on "The road to Paris - a business perspective" by Carlos Busquets, Deputy Director, Policy and Business Practices, ICC
ICC is also a partner to the Sustainable Innovation Forum/United Nations Environment Programme taking place on 20 November, and will host a workshop on the side-lines of the forum entitled: The key to scaling up energy efficiency investments. Kersten-Karl Barth, Chair, ICC Commission on Environment and Energy will also participate in the first panel session of the forum under the theme: Leaders in energy transition: How can we make low carbon infrastructures more viable?
