Chambers of commerce from around the world now have one month to submit their best projects to the 2015 World Chambers Competition, the biennial event which has become a stellar feature of the ICC WCF World Chambers Congress programme.

Initiated in 2003 during the 3rd edition of the Congress in Quebec City, Canada, the Competition offers chambers a unique opportunity to showcase originality, demonstrate creative initiatives to strengthen small- and medium-sized enterprises, and exhibit innovative ideas for delivering member services.

“Finalists will be invited to Torino to present their projects in front of an international audience of chambers of commerce. The competition goes beyond awarding successful projects: it is the perfect forum to share best practices through innovative projects,” said Peter Mihok, Chair of the ICC World Chambers Federation (WCF).

The 2015 competition will feature the following categories:

• Best corporate social responsibility project
• Best job creation and business development project
• Best policy advocacy project
• Best unconventional project

Every two years, WCF opens applications in search for the most original and cutting-edge projects that help chambers supply better solutions and better target services to their customers and members. In 2015, finalists for each category will be invited to present their projects live during the 9th World Chambers Congress which will take place in Torino, Italy, from 10-12 June 2015.

Positioning itself as a capital of innovation and culture – World Design Capital in 2008 and trademark of the Italian dolce vita – Torino will welcome chambers from around the world next June.

“The Competition is open to more than 12,000 chambers across all five continents. The event truly brings added value to the global chamber community by setting a perfect environment in which new partnerships and cross-border cooperation can flourish,” Anthony Parkes, WCF Director added.

Applications for the 2015 World Chambers Competition are open until 31 January 2015. Chambers can submit their innovation and best practice project.
