ICC to support the 1st Annual Indonesia and SE Asia International Arbitration Summit

  • Dharmawangsa Jakarta (Indonesia), 09 December 2013
The International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce will support the 1st Annual Indonesia & SE Asia International Arbitration Summit which will be organized by Kluwer Law International on 12 December 2013 in Dharmawangsa Jakarta (Nusantra Ballroom).

There is a long-established tradition of arbitration in Indonesia. Indonesia has ratified the ICSID Convention in 1968 and accessed to the New York Convention in 1981.

International Arbitration has grown with the development of international trade in this part of the world and with a promotional work from the government. The Indonesian national arbitration law was promulgated in 1999.

Institutional arbitration, like ICC, has the favors of the Indonesian parties.

Launching an international arbitration summit in Jakarta will put Jakarta under the spotlights. Bruce Collins, Member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, will take the opportunity to speak about “Recent Developments Affecting International Arbitration and Current Challenges to Arbitrators.”

The programme and the registration are available on the Wolter Kluwer CCH website.
