Dubai’s Arbitration Week in the spotlight
During Dubai’s Arbitration Week, Director of ICC Arbitration and ADR for the Eastern Mediterranean, Middle-East and Africa region, Sami Houerbi will moderate the Middle East panel at the GAR Live event on 20 November 2014.

GAR Live makes its first visit to Dubai, bringing its
blend of top-notch speakers and magazine-style sessions. This year’s programme,
chaired by Reza Mohtashami and Essam Al Tamimi, features sessions on court
support in the Middle East (where are things going? Where are they at the
moment?). This panel will be
moderated by Director of ICC Arbitration and ADR for the Eastern
Mediterranean, Middle-East and Africa region, Sami Houerbi. Other panels will
focus on investment treaty arbitration (is the Middle East heading the
way of Latin America?), as well as an espresso version of Tylney Hall chaired
by Raëd Fathallah, Alec Emmerson and Michael Hwang SC (the GAR Live symposium).
The grand finale is a GAR Live debate: “This house believes… all things being
equal, parties prefer a good court”.
