ICC to host the 2014 Arbitration Academy

The ICC International Court of Arbitration is this year again, one of the hosts for the 3rd edition of the Arbitration Academy which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 July from 4.30 until 6.30pm.


The ICC will host two interactive workshops on ICC arbitration in practice, and the specificities of ICC Arbitration.

The first day will deal with the Arbitral Tribunal (Screening power, appointments, confirmations, challenges) and the organization of complex arbitrations (Multi-parties, multi-contracts, joinder and consolidation).

The second day will focus on the case management, emergency arbitrator as well as scrutiny of awards.

Both workshops will be chaired by Andrea Carlevaris, Secretary General of the ICC International Court of Arbitration.

The Academy provides advanced Summer Courses in Paris to students and young practitioners interested in international arbitration.

The Curriculum includes a 15-hour General Course, alternating every year between international commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration, 5-hour Special Courses on specific topics, as well as Workshops and Seminars on institutional arbitration offered by various arbitral institutions.
