Young Arbitration Groups join forces for Berlin conference

Sixteen Young Arbitration Groups join forces to organize arbitration conference in Berlin on 19- 20 September 2014


Young arbitration networks and associations have been developing all over the world in recent years. Alongside many of the other young practitioner networks and associations, ICC YAF – with over 7.500 members the biggest and most established network – is as member of the “Co-Chairs Circle” (CCC). The aim of the CCC is to coordinate events of all young arbitrator branches and to jointly work towards a further spread and development of arbitration worldwide. The CCC is now organizing its first own global conference which will be held in Berlin, Germany on 19 and 20 September 2014. Hosted by DIS40 and jointly organized by sixteen young arbitration organizations worldwide including ICC YAF, the event shall include sessions on the ethical and cultural disparities in the conduct of counsel in international arbitration and on the recent developments of the relationship between arbitral tribunals and national courts. It shall also include an interactive brainstorming session on hot topics in international arbitration.
