First group of universities selected to participate in the 8th Mediation Competition

ICC has selected the first round of 33 universities to participate in the 8th ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition that will take place in Paris from 8 – 13 February 2013.

The first batch is in!


After a very competitive selection process, universities from Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, North America, the Middle East and the South Pacific have been accepted, including universities representing new countries in the Competition such as Georgia, Kosovo and New Zealand. In total, 66 universities will participate in the 2013 Competition. To accommodate different school schedules around the world, the application period has been split into two rounds. The first round was open from 23 July - 24 August 2012. The remaining 33 universities will be selected after the close of the second application period which is open from 3 September – 21 October 2012.

Professional mediators wishing to participate as volunteer mediators and judges may apply now and until 21 October 2012.


ICC is also delighted to announce that KPMG has accepted once again to be Headline Sponsor of the 2013 Competition in, attesting to the Competition’s status as one of the premiere events in international dispute resolution.
