The mission of the Advisory Committee of in-house counsel
The ICC International Centre for ADR has nominated an Advisory Committee of in-house counsel from major international companies to contribute to the design of one of its most business-focused dispute resolution conferences, the annual ICC International Mediation Conference.
The 4th edition of the Conference will take place on 7 February 2013 at ICC's headquarters in Paris.
To ensure that the Conference meets the needs of the users of international dispute resolution, the Advisory Committee of in-house counsel has been asked to provide input on the issues they and their colleagues have always wished could be addressed, the format that creates the most dynamic and qualitative discussion environment and the type of materials they would expect to take back to their companies after the Conference.
Following the trend set by the previous three editions, the Conference will look at dispute resolution and management questions, with a special focus on the role mediation can play in avoiding, de-escalating and resolving disputes as time and cost efficiently as possible.
As is evidenced by being one of the ICC conferences with the highest in-house counsel attendance, the involvement of the Advisory Committee also underlines the ICC International Centre for ADR’s commitment to hosting a conference that effectively meets the expectations and needs of business.
