One of the reasons why parties choose to arbitrate their differences is so that they can obtain a speedy resolution of their dispute by the most efficient means possible. However, research suggests that very few cases are completed within the timeline laid out at the start of the proceeding.

In this context, this Symposium will focus on the increasingly contentious issue of delays in international arbitration. A range of expert speakers will look at some of the issues commonly faced by clients, counsel and arbitrators; as well as the potential solutions to the problem of delay.
