Chairmanship and Secretary General

The ICC World Council elects the Chairman and Vice-Chairman for two-year terms. The Chairman, his immediate predecessor and the Vice-Chairman form the Chairmanship. The Secretary General heads the International Secretariat and works closely with national committees to carry out ICC's work programme. The Secretary General is appointed by the World Council upon the recommendation of the Executive Board.

Mr Worms is also Chairman of ICC France, Vice-Chairman of the investment bank Rothschild Europe, and Honorary Chairman of the privately-run centre for economic research Coe-Rexecode. He has chaired ICC France since 2006.

Harold McGraw III became Vice-Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on 24 January 2011. He is Chairman of the US Council for International Business, Chairman of the US India Business Council, a member of the US President’s Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations (ACTPN), as well as Chairman, President and CEO of The McGraw-Hill Companies.

Victor K. Fung became Honorary Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce on 1 July 2010. He is Chairman of the Li & Fung group of companies, with major subsidiaries in trading, distribution and retailing, including publicly-listed Li & Fung, Integrated Distribution Services Group, and Convenience Retail Asia

Mr Carrier has initiated and led research-based publishing and public information programmes for various international and national organizations, most recently for the World Trade Organization (WTO), from 1996 to 2008.
