The Commission carries out its mission thanks to its members, professional experts in international dispute resolution. The Commission has over 600 members from more than 90 countries, including practicing lawyers, arbitrators, in-house counsel, and law professors.
The Commission members are nominated by the ICC national committees, which recruit them by selecting dispute resolution experts from among their members.
The Commission is headquartered in Paris and is run by its Chairman together with permanent staff who coordinate all the day-to-day activities of the Commission, in addition to organising the semi-annual meetings of the members, other task force meetings, and any other administrative aspects of the Commission’s activities.

A steering committee comprised of the Chairman and the Vice-Chairmen of the Commission, along with other representatives of ICC dispute resolution services, meets twice a year to discuss and agree upon the overall action plan for the Commission, including the proposal of task forces.
