Counterfeiting, piracy and lax intellectual property rights ultimately have negative consequences for all stakeholders. BASCAP research, reports and advocacy work aim to highlight these consequences and encourage changes in consumer behavior.
BASCAP works with professional communications agencies, private sector organization partners and WIPO to create a "Global Awareness Campaign". The campaign's goals are to generate awareness, understanding and collective action by consumers, decision makers and supply chain partners worldwide.
BASCAP's "Fakes Cost More, I Buy Real" campaign, puts consumers in control by educating them on the real threat counterfeit goods can impose on their health and safety.
