New Delhi

New Delhi, the capital and the third largest city of India is a fusion of the ancient and the modern architecture. Standing along the West End of Gangetic Plain, the capital city, Delhi, unwinds a picture rich with culture, architecture and human diversity, deep in history, monuments, museums, galleries, gardens and exotic shows. Foreign Exchange

Indian Currency is called the Rupee. It is available in denominations of 1000, 500, 100, 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 &1. One rupee equals 100 paise. Coins in common use are those of Rs. 5,2,1 and paise 50 and 25.

Banks are generally open from 10 am to 2 pm, Monday to Friday and 10am - 12 pm on Saturdays. Banks remain closed on Sundays and National Holidays. Most of the international banks have their branches in Delhi. Foreign currency can be exchanged at the hotel or at the airport.
