Indicam represents nearly 200 companies, industry associations, law and IP firms, security consultants and other organisations daily engaged against counterfeiting activities that hit branded products.
Indicam is active in Italy and internationally:
• as the common industry interface with Italian Public Administration, opinion makers and general public
• in developing IP rights and anti-counterfeiting awareness and culture
• in developing and diffusing studies and researches on social and economical aspects of counterfeiting
• in lobbying for better anti-counterfeiting legislation and its stricter enforcement
• in co-operating with police, customs, courts and all other branches of Italian Public Administration directly dealing with anti-counterfeiting activities
• in promoting joint investigations and actions on behalf of its members
• in co-operating with Italian diplomatic corps for the protection of Italian brands abroad
Indicam has been among the promoters and is a founding member of GACG (Global Anti-counterfeiting Group).
