Due to data entry error, aggravated by the relatively small sample taken in the ICC’s Global Survey on Counterfeiting and Piracy, Canada was incorrectly listed as being among the best performing countries in addressing counterfeiting and piracy. In amending their responses, several respondents noted that Canada suffers from a deficient IP protection regime in several important respects, which continues to be the subject of intensive discussions between high-level government and business leaders.
