BASCAP Research and Events coordination intern

The internship is for a period of 3 -6 months starting January 2012.
The intern will be under the supervision of our BASCAP Policy Manager and/or BASCAP team.

Tasks entrusted to intern include:

  • research and analysis of counterfeiting and piracy issues in specific countries
  • assisting the Policy Manager in the creation of event programmes
  • logistical preparations for upcoming events and follow-up:
    - web stories
  • possibility of attending Paris-based meetings and/or conferences 

A Master’s student with a strong interest in intellectual property law, policy, and counterfeiting and piracy preferred – speaking English and French and ideally a third language (Spanish/Portuguese).

Any communications/PR experience is ideal.

Eligibility conditions

A memorandum of agreement (convention de stage) established or to be established between ICC and his/her university or institute of origin is compulsory (French Act n° 2006-396 of 31 March 2006).  An application without a memorandum of agreement (convention de stage) will not be considered

The intern must have an appropriate insurance valid in France for any damage caused to a third party (third party liability insurance: “assurance Responsabilité civile”) and a social insurance (illness, work accident…).

For all non-EU applicants, valid papers (long-stay student visa and/or carte de séjour) are required.
