The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies is one of the largest, financially strongest, non-life insurers operating multinationally. Founded as a marine underwriting business in 1882 in New York City, Chubb today provides insurance through 135 offices in 32 countries around the globe for some of the world's best-known companies, as well as small and medium-size firms. Its specialties include a broad range of insurance products and services for the electronics, financial, food processing, telecommunications, e-commerce, entertainment, software and life sciences sectors. As a leading insurer of Directors and Officers Liability, Chubb promotes the use of best practices in Corporate Governance through its strict underwriting standards, educational initiatives and advocacy activities.

Coupled with a long-held belief that its responsibility to its insureds goes beyond the strict wording of the insurance contract, Chubb customers have come to expect a level of high quality service for which it has been widely recognized. This often includes the use of leading-edge technologies to assess risks, process claims and to provide up-to-date account information.
