ICC ADR and expertise in new hands

As from 1 October 2002, Dyala Jiménez Figueres assumes responsibility for ICC ADR and expertise services. Formerly Assistant Counsel within the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, Ms Jiménez Figueres is well familiarized with ICC dispute resolution. In her new role she will both promote ICC ADR and expertise and manage the caseload generated by these services.

The ICC International Centre for Expertise was created in 1976 to respond to requests for experts with specialized knowledge especially in the technical, legal or financial fields. It administers the ICC Rules for Expertise and DOCDEX Rules. The ADR Secretariat handles requests for amicable dispute resolution submitted under the ICC ADR Rules.

Ms Jiménez Figueres is a citizen of Costa Rica. In her native country she promoted legislation and projects relating to alternative dispute resolution and has since acquired practical experience of various forms of dispute resolution in the USA and France.
