ICC’s Intellectual Property Roadmap now in Arabic, Chinese and Portuguese
Paris, 18 July 2007

The Arabic version of the roadmap responds to a worldwide call for information on critical IP issues

ICC has published Arabic, Chinese and Portuguese versions of its roadmap on current and emerging intellectual property issues for business.

Responding to a worldwide call for information on critical IP issues, this year’s roadmap, a concise overview of key intellectual property issues, is also due to be translated into Spanish, French and Dutch in the near future.

The 2007 issue is the eighth edition of the roadmap, which is revised every year by an international team of ICC experts.

"The ICC IP roadmap is widely recognized as one of the best sources of clear, concise information on the major intellectual property issues facing business today," said Ron Myrick, Chair of the ICC task force responsible for the annual updates. “The translation into Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, French and Dutch will allow even wider access to the report, which is regularly used by businesses, lawyers and governments in many countries."

The 2007 edition of the roadmap addresses the opportunities and obstacles posed by the rapid rise of the Internet and the increase in disputes over intellectual property rights. It also includes an updated section on enforcement, highlighting the urgent need for adequate resources to uphold intellectual property laws.
