Geneva
In the week beginning 26
June 2000, the United Nations will be holding in Geneva a special session of
the General Assembly to review the implementation of the objectives of the World
Summit for Social Development, five years after the Summit took place in Copenhagen.

non-governmental organizations with a platform to discuss the issues being examined
by governments. As a part of this Forum, the International Chamber of Commerce
(ICC) and the International Organization of Employers (IOE) have agreed to join
forces - as at Copenhagen - to organize a half-day business roundtable. The
focus of the roundtable will be the impact o
f the knowledge economy on business
and the world of work in the 21st century.
The IOE/ICC Roundtable will
take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 28 June 2000 at:
Centre International de Conférences Genève (CICG),
Rooms 3 and 4 combined,
Rue de Varembé 15,
1202 Geneva.
