Development and Intellectual Property

The role that intellectual property (IP) protection plays in development is at the heart of many current debates, including those over technology transfer, intellectual property and public health, access and benefit sharing in relation to genetic resources, and the availability of intellectual property protected information.

Making IP Work for Development - Series of Panel Disscussions Organised by ICC
To help negotiators better understand how the intellectual property system can be used in practice to stimulate development, ICC has organized a series of panel discussions in Geneva entitled "Making IP Work for Development". These meetings bring together diplomats from different regions with people who work with the IP system on the ground, particularly in developing countries.
