The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Paris-based world business organization, proposes to appoint a Project Coordinator to support the Banking Commission. The position is offered on a fixed contract (CDD) of 6 months.
The proposed position of Project Coordinator entails the following tasks:
- Supervise the organization of bi-annual Banking Commission meetings, including side events and task forces meetings;
- Project-manage the Request for Expression of Interest (RfI) to host Banking Commission meetings in partnership with National Committees, including the updating of requirements lists, review of candidatures, and liaising with National Committees to confirm meeting arrangements;
- Liaise with hosting organization(s) and event partners to produce detailed proposals for each bi-annual meeting and side events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, catering, visa, staffing and budgets);
- Ensure the coordinating of venue management, caterers, sponsors, contractors and equipment hire, including on-site technicians and hostesses;
- Help to identify and secure panel moderator, speakers or special guests participating in events;
- Participate to the definition and implementation of a specific Banking Commission strategy for selling sponsorship/stand/exhibition space to potential exhibitors/partners;
- Liaise with marketing and communications services, both at ICC Headquarters and within the hosting organization, to promote the meetings, organize the communication campaign(s) and produce the various catalogues, banners and brochures.
Other requirements for the position include:
- an experience in working in an international environment, preferably with a good relationship at senior level with the banking and policymaking communities
- an ability to organize large meetings involving a few hundreds participants, with good project management skills
- an ability to communicate well with business and intergovernmental bodies located in different regions
- fluency and excellent writing skills in English, French and Spanish
- a dynamic personality with good organizational and communications skills, as well as proven intellectual abilities
- the capacity to work well under pressure and as part of a small team.

Social Media/Web Marketing Intern – Winter/Spring 2012
The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is looking for a motivated intern to assist on its social media and web marketing strategies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Monitor all social media activities within the organization
- Coordinate, edit, maintain and open ICC social media accounts (with supervision)
- Help different departments with their social media requests
- Analyze generated traffic and content
- Assist in preparing monthly reports
- Interact with the ICC social media/web marketing working group
Profile:
- Computer and internet savvy
- Preferably a communications, marketing, public relations, or journalism student. A first experience in the field is a plus
- Good customer service and communications skills
- Fluent in English with excellent writing skills
- Other languages are a strong plus
- Must take initiative and be committed
Compensation includes a monthly stipend and “tickets restaurant”.

BASIS Internship ICC’s initiative Business Action to Support the Information Society (BASIS) is seeking an intern/stagiaire with a convention de stage and for all non-UE residents, valid papers (long-stay student visa and/or carte de séjour) to participate in our closely knit team as of September 2012 for a period of 4-6 months.
The intern will train and assist in the development, preparation and implementation of new and current BASIS projects and activities.
The ideal candidate should have a Master’s degree or equivalent. He/she will be a fluent English speaker with solid writing and organizational skills, who is meticulous in carrying out their required duties. The intern’s experience will include both administrative and substantive tasks. He/she should be a team player who is highly interested in gaining experience in an international environment with a dynamic team.
Prior exposure to Internet and Telecoms issues would be a plus, as would any communications/PR and events planning experience.
