Work with IGOs

Since the late 1940's, ICC has engaged in a broad range of activities with the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and many other intergovernmental bodies.

ICC actively represents business at global forums such as the World Summit on Sustainable Development, the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UN FCCC) and the Internet Governance Forum (IGF).

Over the years, ICC has also been actively involved in the work of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the UN Commission on International Trade Law, the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the UN Commission for Social Development, the UN Commission on Sustainable Development, the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Economic Commission for Europe, the UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the UN Information and Communication Technologies Task Force (UN ICT Task Force), the UN Global Alliance for ICT and Development (UN GAID), and the UN World Aids Campaign. ICC has also represented business at the Conference on Financing for Development, the World Summit on Sustainable Development, and the World Summit on the Information Society.
