    Internship position with WCF Project Manager – Fall 2013

    The ICC World Chambers Federation is seeking an intern, final-year internship, with a convention de stage (for all non-EU residents, valid papers: long-stay student visa and/or carte de séjour) to participate in our closely knit team, starting on 27 June 2013 for a period of 6 months.

    The ICC World Chambers Federation (WCF) represents the interests of local, regional, national, bilateral and transnational chambers of commerce and industry, with members in over 130 countries. Through its extensive global support network, WCF enables chambers from all over the world to exchange experiences and improve their performance in areas such as finance, management and the development and promotion of services.

    Main tasks:

    • Help with the post 8th World Chambers Congress administrative and logistical tasks: analyse survey results, improve marketing and communication strategy, etc.
    • Participate in the organization of the upcoming Transnational Chambers Board meeting (17 October, Hamburg, Germany): programme, logistics
    • Help with the 9th World Chambers Congress (10-12 June 2015, Turin, Italy) plan of action
    • Help with other ad hoc assignments: website, social media, database management, etc.

    The ideal candidate will be a fluent English speaker with solid writing and organizational skills, who is meticulous in carrying out the required duties. He/she should have excellent computer skills. The intern’s experience will include both administrative and substantive tasks as well as experience in event management. He/she should be a team player who is highly interested in gaining experience in an international environment with a dynamic team. Prior exposure to marketing and communications is a plus.

    The World Chambers Federation (WCF) is a division of the International Chamber of Commerce that represents the interests of local, regional, national, bilateral and transnational chambers of commerce and industry, with members in over 130 countries. Through its extensive global support network, WCF enables chambers from all over the world to exchange experiences and improve their performance in areas such as membership, capacity building and the development and promotion of services.

    Interns work closely with the team on the development and implementation of new and current projects and activities.

    Main tasks

    • Participation in the elections process for the WCF General Council new members
    • Participation in the Business for Peace Award project
    • Participation in the preparation of the June and October WCF governing bodies meetings
    • Membership services development
    • Help with other daily tasks

    Profile

    • Bilingual French-English is ideal. Ability to work in English is a must because most of the correspondence/website content/materials of ICC WCF are in English.
    • The ideal candidate will be a team player who also knows how to work independently and manage his/her time wisely.
    • Excellent communication skills as well as previous work experience will be valued.
