The ICC Fighting Corruption handbook

The ICC “Fighting Corruption” handbook is a revised and expanded version of ICC’s 1999 widely acclaimed “Fighting Bribery” and takes account of the recent changes in the corporate world:

Extortion, bribery and other forms of corruption, accounting scandals, terrorist finance and money laundering, conflicts of interest at investment banks – all have had a severe impact on consumer confidence, shareholder interests and market values.

 Fighting Corruption

This is why issues of corporate governance and business ethics have moved from the periphery of corporate concerns to the front and centre.

The Fighting Corruption Handbook provides practical tools to deal with the changing business environment, by suggesting concrete steps as to how companies should respond.

The 2003 edition of the handbook contains four entirely new chapters on

  • Whistleblowing
  • Customs corruption
  • Small and medium-sized enterprises and
  • Preventing extortion

The ICC Anti-Corruption Commission is currently working on the next edition of the Handbook with updated chapters and new sections on public procurement, emerging business initiatives and the UN Convention against Corruption. Expected publication date: January 2008
