ICC unveils new rules for demand guarantees
Paris, 18 March 2010
In an effort to provide greater financial security following the global recession, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) today unveiled an extensively revised version of the Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees (URDG), which will be instrumental in adopting uniform practices in trade finance.

ICC to host major banking conference in China
Beijing, 16 March 2010  More than 300 of the world’s top banking leaders and experts will assemble in Beijing on 23rd April 2010 for a unique event to discuss key issues and solutions for speeding-up recovery from the economic crisis.

First seminar on revised URDG rules to take place in Paris
Paris, 12 February 2010  For the first time since the adoption of the revised ICC Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees (URDG), members of the drafting group will give a full public presentation on the new rules at a special seminar to be held in Paris on 18 March.

New Delhi, 4 December 2009  ICC today announced a revised version of the Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees (URDG) destined to apply to hundreds of billions of dollars of demand guarantees securing monetary and performance obligations in a wide array of international and domestic contracts.

Paris, 7 September 2009  The global economy is still on shaky ground, and despite budding signs of recovery, evidence is not strong enough to conclude that the current recession is waning, according to an ICC report on trade finance released today.

Vienna, 20 July 2009  ICC’s most recent revision of the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 600) was officially endorsed by the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) at its 42nd annual session in Vienna.

ICC-IFA to draft trade finance forfaiting rules
Paris, 24 June 2009   ICC and the International Forfaiting Association (IFA) have created a joint drafting group to prepare new global forfaiting rules, the ICC Banking Commission announced today.
