ICC publishes three new books on UCP 600

ICC has published three new books on the recently revised Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits, ICC’s rules on letters of credit, which govern billions of dollars in trade transactions annually. The latest revision of the rules, UCP 600, came into effect on 1 July 2007.

ICC Commission on Banking to focus on innovation in trade finance solutions
Paris, 3 April 2008 ICC’s Commission on Banking will for the first time introduce a series of panel discussions under a central theme, Innovations in Trade Finance Solutions, on the second day of its meeting, which will take place in Athens on 15-16 April.

New online training in letters of credit and UCP 600

ICC to revise its Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees
Paris, 24 May 2007 The ICC Banking Commission has given the go-ahead to begin a revision of the ICC Uniform Rules on Demand Guarantees. The rules, approved by ICC in 1991, have as their objective to balance the conflicting interests of applicants, beneficiaries and guarantors.

Banking Commission approves document on international standard banking practice
Singapore, 27 April 2007 By a unanimous vote of 71-0, the ICC Commission on Banking Technique and Practice approved an updated version of its widely acclaimed publication, International Standard Banking Practice for the Examination of Documents under Documentary Credits (ISBP). The voting took place at the commission’s meeting in Singapore yesterday.
