ICC appoints new Chair of banking commission
Paris, 6 November 2006 On behalf of ICC’s Chairman Marcus Wallenberg, ICC Secretary General Guy Sebban has appointed Regina Prehofer of Bank Austria Creditanstalt as the new Chair of the ICC Banking Commission.

Banking commission approves revised rules on documentary credits
Paris, 25 October 2006 By a unanimous vote of 91 to 0, the ICC Banking Commission today approved UCP 600, ICC's revised rules on documentary credits. This is the first revision of the rules since UCP 500, the previous version, was approved in 1993.

ICC to hold first conference on new documentary credit rules
Paris, 31 July 2006 ICC's revised rules on documentary credits, commonly called "UCP", are expected to be approved for release at the next meeting of the ICC Banking Commission on 24-25 October in Paris.

ICC to wrap up new documentary credit rules this year
Paris, 16 May 2006 The ICC Banking Commission is working toward final approval of a revision to UCP 500, ICC's universally used rules on documentary credits. Three years in preparation, the revision, which may be completed as early as October, will contain major changes to rules which govern billions of dollars in letter of credit transactions each year.
