Regina Prehofer

Regina Prehofer, Chair of the ICC Banking Commission, started her career in 1981 at Oesterreichische Kontrollbank, the Austrian Export Credit Agency, before moving to Creditanstalt in 1987 where she held various managerial positions in the Wholesale Banking Division. Always active in the area of wholesale banking, in 2000 she was appointed Head of Division for Multnational Corporates, Corporate Finance and Trade Finance. In April 2002 she also assumed responsibility for corporate customers. A year later Regina Prehofer was appointed to the Managing Board of Bank Austria Creditanstalt. From January 2004 to May 2006 she was responsible for CEE, one of the bank`s two core markets and for international corporate business. Presently she is the Managing Board Member for Corporate Banking, and in addition, as CEO of UniCredit Global Leasing she is responsible  for UniCredit Group`s leasing business. This varied background has given Mrs. Prehofer a knowledge of a number of different disciplines, which will serve the Banking Commission well in her role as Chair.
