Business encouraged by first draft Rio+20 outcome document

Welcoming the prominent role of business in the latest draft outcome document for this June’s UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), Business Action for Sustainable Development 2012 stressed that private sector engagement in policy development and implementation is critical to advance global partnerships for sustainable development

Climate talks mark a step forward, but enhanced private sector collaboration is needed
Durban, 12 December 2011   ICC congratulates the South African presidency for leading the efforts in concluding the 17th conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and welcomes the decision to negotiate a new and inclusive legal agreement on climate change by 2015, which will take effect by 2020.
