International business has commended the news that world leaders adopted a plan on Saturday for negotiating a new global warming pact by 2009.

Monte Carlo, Monaco 15 November 2007  ICC’s Commission on Environment and Energy met in Monte Carlo last week to finalize preparations before the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Bali next month. Paris, 28 May 2007  Lars Josefsson, Chief Executive Officer of Vattenfall and Climate Change Counsel to German Chancellor Angela Merkel for the upcoming G8 Summit, last week made a presentation on Vattenfall’s 3C Initiative on climate change to ICC’s Commission on Environment and Energy.

ICC welcomes consensus on factors behind global warming
Paris, 9 February 2007  ICC welcomes publication of the consensus between governments and scientists reflected in the Summary for Policymakers of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Working Group I, Fourth Assessment Report.
