Arbitration in Changing Times
February 2010



The Young Arbitration Practitioners ("YAP") eighth Colloquium will be held on Wednesday 26 May 2010 at the Sofitel Rio in Rio de Janeiro on the topic of "Arbitration in Changing Times".
This event will take place directly after the ICCA Congress and will be hosted by the Comitê Brasileiro de Arbitragem (Brazilian Arbitration Committee, "CBAr") and supported by several young arbitration practitioners' groups including ICC-YAF.

The Colloquium will be conducted under the guidance of V.V. Veeder and Guillermo Aguilar-Alvarez. The two sessions will focus on:
- "The status and duties of arbitrators - Where do we stand?"
- "Arbitration and sovereign entities - a selection of current isssues"
