Arbitration intern in Paris
The internship is for a non-flexible period of 2 months starting always in odd months.
The coming available periods are:
- 3 March - 30 April 2014
- 5 May - 27 June 2014
The intern will be under the supervision of one of the seven case management teams of the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
Tasks entrusted to intern include:
- reading, commenting on and drafting documents related to current arbitration cases
- doing research for the preparation of work documents, conferences, presentations and publications
- translating legal documents
Required qualifications:
A student with a strong background in international commercial arbitration law and a first experience in arbitration preferred - speaking English fluently.
Arbitration intern in Hong Kong
The internship is for a period of 3 months.
The coming available period is:
The intern will be under the supervision of the Asian arbitration team based in Hong Kong.
Tasks entrusted to intern include:
- reading, commenting on and drafting documents related to current arbitration cases
- doing research for the preparation of conferences, presentations and publications
- translating legal documents
Required qualifications:
A student with a strong background in international commercial arbitration law and a first experience in arbitration preferred - speaking English fluently, Asian language is an asset.
Intern with the International Centre for ADR for management of cases
The internship is for a period of 2 months.The current opportunities are for the following slots:
- No opportunity for the moment
The intern will be under the supervision of the ICC International Centre for ADR team in Paris, which is in charge of all cases filed under the ICC ADR, Expertise, Dispute Board and DOCDEX Rules.
Tasks entrusted to intern include:
- assisting the Centre in the daily case-management tasks
- doing research for the preparation of conferences, presentations and publications
- other projects based on the intern’s interests and background
Required qualifications:
A law student with knowledge of mediation and other forms of ADR preferred – speaking English fluently.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
- For Paris: the candidate needs to still be registered as a student during the time of the internship. Recent graduates who are not anymore enrolled in an educational program are therefore not eligible to intern at ICC. He/she (if national from outside the European Union or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Andorra, Monaco, or Switzerland) should get an appropriate visa from a French consulate
- For Hong Kong, student status is not compulsory but the candidate will have to apply for a work visa. More information can be found at http://www.immd.gov.hk/ehtml/id992a.htm
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Internships in Paris and Hong Kong are unremunerated and interns are required to handle and pay for their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the duration of their stay. Unfortunately scholarship cannot be granted by the ICC.
Internship is full-time (however a few hours' classes during the week are accepted). The average working week is 35 hours.
