The ICC Intellectual Property Roadmap

This popular ICC report – containing contributions from experts from around the globe – is widely read by business, policy and legal professionals worldwide, both within and outside ICC’s international membership. Published every two years, the IP Roadmap is translated into Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian and other languages.
NOTE: the translations will be available shortly on this page.

The new edition is an invaluable tool to bring policymakers and business leaders worldwide up to date on issues including the decision to open up the generic top level domain name space, measures to control copyright and trademark infringement on the Internet, and efforts to address the high costs and lengthy proceedings necessary to obtain patents in multiple jurisdictions.

The roadmap has undergone extensive updates including in sections on data exclusivity, plant variety rights, geographical indications, designs, data bases, valuation, and arbitration and mediation of IP disputes.

We welcome your comments on the roadmap as they help us improve the document from edition to edition. For all enquiries, contact Daphne Yong-d'Hervé (dye@iccwbo.org).

Sponsorship opportunities

The printing and dissemination of the IP Roadmap, which allows its message to reach a large international readership, relies in great part on the support of its sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities are available for companies with global reach, law firms with international presence, and international organizations, to associate themselves with this important policy tool and to make their name and expertise known to the wide international readership of the publication. There are several ways to sponsor:

  • Key sponsor – your organization will appear as key sponsor on all versions of the Roadmap both in print and online.
  • Language edition sponsor – your organization may choose to sponsor a specific language edition of the Roadmap thereby allowing it to be translated and / or printed in that language.

English version re-print sponsorship opportunities – Due to its great success the first print run of the original English version of the IP Roadmap is out of stock. New sponsorship opportunities are available as we are looking for sponsors to help us cover the cost of re-printing the Roadmap. The goal is to disseminate it to an even wider audience of interested policy makers.

For more information on how to become a sponsor read more about sponsor opportunities or contact Luz Rodriguez (lrz@iccwbo.org).
