2013 World Chambers Competition Applicants

During the 2013 edition of the World Chambers Competition, 65 chambers from 42 countries have been competing. The jury have selected five finalists in each category who will present their projects at the ICC WCF 8th World Chambers Congress in Doha, Qatar, 22-25 April. Competition winners from the 5th World Chambers Congress

The Competition is a highlight of the Congress, giving international recognition to innovative projects undertaken by chambers around the world. For the 2013 edition of the Competition, 65 applications from 42 countries have been received. The finalists selected in each category will present their projects at the 8th World Chambers Congress in Doha, 22-25 April 2013. The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony on the last day of the Congress.

The categories for the 2013 Competition are:

  • Best corporate social responsibility project addressing business and their social responsibility actions in community, environment, workplace and marketplace activities.
  • Best international project focusing on a chamber’s capacity in providing international trade support services to its members covering import and export initiatives, trade and foreign investment opportunities etc.
  • Best small business project fostering local economic development, creating jobs and opening up new business opportunities for the chamber’s member companies.
  • Best unconventional project in an activity not typically associated with a chamber of commerce.
  • Best youth entrepreneurship project showcasing the creativity and importance of youth entrepreneurship and job creation.
