How does GBX work?

GBX is a simple-to-use, world-wide electronic business opportunities database of products and services. This service helps companies find suppliers, business partners, investors, business opportunities, agents, distributors and joint ventures, promoting their business opportunities or requirements via chambers of commerce and their member companies.  

WCN-GBX 

Your member companies can place their opportunities directly online and be networked and do business with chamber member companies around the world.
A company that places a business opportunity online, will follow these steps:
     
      1. Enter the website at http://gbx.worldchambers.com
      2. Click on Sign up online
      3. Fill in the form

You will be given the choice within the posting form, of posting via a Chamber validating GBX in your country or if there isn't one, via GBX Central. When the opportunity is validated, it will be activated and appear in the GBX database. The Chamber validates the business opportunity to ensure the quality of the opportunities within the database. All opportunities are validated by the local Chamber of Commerce or by the GBX Central before being available to the public 

 

 
How can your Chamber make the most of GBX?

There are many simple and easy ways that chambers can use the GBX Business Opportunity Service for its members.Below are some examples on how your chamber can use GBX. Don’t forget to share this with all your staff who are in contact with companies so that they can send business your way. 

  • Your chamber receives many calls from member and non-member companies asking “I need a list of companies”. Why not advise them to place their request on GBX to find a buyer or seller.
  • For clients coming to use your chamber library to find a list of companies to contact, why not suggest that they take a business opportunity on GBX. This will give them suppliers or buyers who are ready to do business and not just a listing in a directory.
  • Have you signed up a new member interested or active in international business? Why not offer them a complimentary opportunity as part of their welcome package to the chamber.
  • Do you have member companies unable to find a component or product locally? Get them to place their request on GBX.
  • Is your chamber providing international country and company research for its members? Why not include a GBX opportunity as part of this service, providing fresh new leads.
  • Which country for a business mission? Publish a business opportunity on GBX for the company. This will assist the company in determining which markets are interested in their products and perhaps find leads.
  • Is your chamber working with a company on an export development programme? Market research, market visits etc. As part of your service, place an advertisement on GBX to bring inquiries to you!
  • As part of your chamber’s international business courses and seminars, not only promote your chamber use of GBX, give them a GBX opportunity! What better way of putting into practice what they have learned through your course.
  • Are overseas companies writing to your chamber seeking a list of companies? Tell them to place an opportunity on GBX through their local chamber. This way you are supporting your chamber colleagues generate new business and maybe new members.
