Prince Sifiso Zulu

WCF Vice Chair since 2006

 

Prince Sifiso Zulu was President of the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry, when the Chamber hosted WCF's 4th World Chambers Congress in 2005.

 

Prince Sifiso Zulu is a businessman and a Director of companies. He sits on the following boards as Chairman or Director:

Prince Sifiso also serves on a range of voluntary and/or industry representative boards including:       

  • Southern African Endangered Species Protection Trust
  • Lifeline                                                           
  • SAAFF KZN                                                            
  • Industry Forum (Ministry of Trade and Industry)         
  • Presidential Joint Working Group on South African  economy                                                                          

Between 1994 - 1996, Prince Sifiso was active in the Ministry of Public Works, working closely with then  Minister of Public Works, Mr Jeff Hadebe as part of his  Ministerial Task Team on National Public Works Programme.  He was National Programme Manager of the Community- Based Public  Works Programme with a budget of R1 billion. His responsibilities include advising the Minister and Provincial MEC’s on policy Issues with regard to NPWP ; advise the Director – General on policy and  operational issues; Co-ordinate implementation of the programme in all Provinces; as well as assist in setting up the Programme in all Provinces.

 

In 1996, this programme (CBPWP) was commended by the International Labour Organisation  (ILO) as the best public works programme in Africa, Asia and the Pacific.      

           

After leaving the Ministry of the Public Works, he offered consulting services to a  variety governmental & private sector bodies on policy issues, commercial strategies and strategic communications, including  Office of the Presidency;Ministry of Public Enterprises;Ministry of Public Works and Daimler Chrysler, among others.
