Before becoming WCF Chair, Rona Yircali served as WCF Vice-Chair in 2004-2005. He is a member of the ICC Executive Board, and is currently Vice-Chair, ICC Turkey; as well as Chairman, Madencilik, Turkey. Mr. Yircali is also Past President of The Union of Chambers of Turkey (TOBB).

Rona Yircali was born in Istanbul, in 1944. After graduating from American Robert College in Istanbul, he received his Business Administration degree from University of Miami, FL. U.S.A.

Mr. Yircali is the chairman of the Yicarli Group of companies specializing in enegy (transformers, hydro and wind power), animal feed, textiles, synthetic fibers and bags, tourism, finance and mining.

He speaks English.
