A seminar on arbitration of particular value to people in industry is to be held at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris on 25 October.
It will be of special interest to corporate counsel, commercial agents, international negotiators, and business people and managers whose work is related to international commerce. All play a key role in negotiating contracts. They are the consumers of international commercial arbitration and this seminar, entitled Arbitration and Managers, aims to provide practical advice on using dispute resolution procedure to the full.
The seminar is jointly organized by the ICC Institute of World Business Law, the Association Française des Juristes d’Enterprise and the European Company Lawyers Association. Speakers at the seminar come from industry and have extensive experience in the use of arbitration within their companies. Representatives from the ICC International Court of Arbitration and legal practitioners will also take part. A spokesperson from the Institute of World Business Law said that the seminar will encourage all members of a company involved in negotiating a contract to be aware of the choices to be made.
The seminar is limited to approximately 40 participants to keep it interactive. This one-day event will provide a special opportunity for participants to share their experiences in the field of arbitration with practitioners in an informal forum. The working languages at the seminar will be English and French with simultaneous interpretation.
