First ICC YAF Meeting in Paris
Herbert Smith LLP hosted the first ICC Young Arbitrators Forum meeting in Paris on 24 November. The event, which was booked out many days before the event, brought together many young and knowledgeable speakers from different European legal backgrounds. |

ICC YAF in Minsk
On 1 December 2009, a Roundtable on "Career for an international arbitration lawyer" will be held in Minsk. This event is organised by ICC Young Arbitrators Forum Europe Chapter and will be conducted in Russian. A reception will follow. |

ICC YAF event in Paris
On 24 November 2009, a unique event held in Paris to provide a forum for young professionals in international arbitration to exchange with experienced practitioners in the field. ICC YAF and Herbert Smith law firm co-organise a conference on "International Arbitration in Europe: unity or diversity". |

The Madrid conference was a great success
Last 4 October 2009, the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF) and the Club Español del Arbitraje -40 (CEA-40) jointly organized a conference on the occasion of the IBA conference. This joint event, which was held at Garrigues premises, was a great success with more than 80 young arbitration practitioners attending. |

Don’t miss the 2nd ICC YAF Global Conference
As announced earlier, the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF) will organise its 2nd Global Conference in Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro on 11-13 December 2009. While enjoying the lively city of Rio de Janeiro, the participants will attend seven hours of interactive academic training disseminated over the week-end and have the opportunity to exchange experiences with in-house counsel, lawyers and members of the ICC Court Secretariat. |

ASIA-PACIFIC: ICC YAF – AFIA 1st Joint Symposium in Hong Kong
On 27 March 2009, the International Chamber of Commerce Young Arbitrators’ Forum (ICC YAF) and the Australasian Forum for International Arbitration (AFIA) held their 1st Joint Symposium, sponsored by Simmons & Simmons. James Kwan, partner at Simmons & Simmons, reports 51 delegates, including legal practitioners, in-house counsel, representatives from arbitral institutions (the ICC, HKIAC, CIETAC, and SIAC), academics and students from numerous jurisdictions, attended the symposium. |
